Rui Duque Bags

Rui Duque is 39 years old, lives on mainland Portugal and is passionate about the natural world. In the year of 2016 he undertook a sewing course, having participated in numerous handicraft markets in the north and south of mainland Portugal. Their specialty is small bags, for various utilities. His works are the mixture of his three main areas of interest: photography, yoga and crafts.

The patterns used on the bags, diverge between landscapes of the Island of Madeira, with their own photos, regional fabrics or patterns alluding to Portugal and different fabrics, sometimes brought by friends who visit, other countries.

The details are important, which is why you opt for techniques that allow seams, not to be visible. References such as the color of the line to match the interior and exterior are also important. At the end, inside the bag, you will find something that will make you smile. Our happiness and what we can provide to others, is the greatest wealth of life. Thank you.
